PSJ Journal Special Committee
PSJ Scientific Journal Editorial Board

Dear Colleagues,

With the aim of publishing high quality scientific journals of world class, the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan (PSJ) decided to undertake a reorganization of its 4 journals (Yakugaku Zasshi (currently publishing Japanese and English papers), Chemical and Pharmaceutical Bulletin (CPB), Biological and Pharmaceutical Bulletin (BPB), and Journal of Health Sciences (JHS)).
We will therefore take action of transitional procedures now, and would like to ask contributor’s attention for the manuscript submission.

[Yakugaku Zasshi]
Yakugaku Zasshi will become a solely Japanese language journal after January 1, 2012. English language manuscripts must be submitted on or before July 31, 2011 if the authors wish to have their English paper published in Yakugaku Zasshi. English manuscripts submitted on August 1, 2011 or later will be considered for publication in either CPB or BPB.

[JHS]
The December 2011 issue of JHS will be the final issue and only manuscripts received at our editorial office on or before July 31, 2011 will be considered for publication in JHS. As of August 1, 2011, all papers in the same fields that were eligible for submission to JHS will now be eligible for submission to either the main succession journal BPB or CPB.

[CPB]
Chemical field papers of previously dealt with Yakugaku Zasshi or JHS, may be submitted to CPB on or after August 1, 2011. Medicinal chemistry papers including clinical aspects, but written from the standpoint of chemistry, will be acceptable for CPB on or after August 1, 2011. The accepted paper will appear in a volume of CPB issued after January 1, 2012, along with the quick appearance as the digital version immediately after the acceptance.

[BPB]
BPB and JHS will be integrated into a succession journal, BPB, after January 1, 2012. Biological papers with fields of previously dealt to Yakugaku Zasshi or JHS may be submitted to BPB on or after August 1, 2011. Clinical or medicinal aspects of papers are also welcomed. The accepted papers will appear in a volume of BPB issued after January 1, 2012, along with rapid appearance through the internet system immediately after the acceptance.
